Happy New Year Comrades, what an amazing year we had in 2015,

Thank-you everyone that made it a special year for myself and the Post. Lots of changes and cleaning up that was done, and still in progress. We got a new roof, some plumbing fixed and or repaired and new paint on the walls, during the first half of the 2015-2016 calendar year. I like to thank all the volunteers and helpers, the kitchen crews, all the members that helped throughtout the year, as they always do. The Auxiliary has made their transition. The support of all the members during Post updates.

Upcoming events, the Mid-Winter Conference is Feb. 6th, in Albuquerque, NM. This is not just for the Post officers, the invite is for all members, I highly encourage as many to attend from Post 3280. Good info from the VFW State Commanderand and invited speaker. Always a good time and get to meet with other Post Comrades, see how things are going in other Districts.

The Post meeting is on the 7th of January, 1900 hrs or 7pm. New business, to make sure all members are aware of the transition of the Men's Auxiliary, need to have max members attend to understand why the Men's Auxiliary is being disbanded from Post 3280. The Charter is being returned.

Because the price of meat is going up from our supplier, we made some adjustments in our price for steak nights. Still the best in town, Rib-eyes $12.00, Filet $13.50, and T-bones $14.00 but have you seen the size of the steaks we have been getting? What a deal starting Jan 1st. Look forward to greeting in the New Year with a good steak and tasty beverage of your choice.

See you at the Post! Let's make this a great year. Remember, if not doing VFW programs we are not a VFW. Get your membership paid and re-new, and invite others to join. We will have a membership drive again in January and February.

From the Ladies Auxiliary President

Dear Comrades and Fellow Sisters and Brothers,

Happy, Happy New Year! I would like to say thanks to all who helped with the delivering of the Veteran's Christmas gifts at the Nursing Homes. They were very excited and pleased that they were not forgotten during the Holiday Season. Thanks to those who took care of the shopping and delivering of the gifts to the two families that we adopted for Christmas. The children were very excited, and the parents could not thank us enough.

As we approach a new year you may ask yourself what you can do to make a difference. Our organization gives us many ways that we can make a difference you just need to get out there and help. I do want to thank all the volunteers that help out to make us the best Post in New Mexico.

Thanks to our new decorating Chairperson Debra Coody, and her crew for making the post look good for our Christmas season, Valentine's decorations are going up next. We want our post looking good for all the holiday seasons.

Just to let you know we will be starting breakfast up again this month. It will be the fourth Saturday of the month. Thanks and again Happy New Year!

Upcoming Events!

Post Valentine's Day Party will be held on

February 13th, 2016

We will be having a Dinner and Dance. You must sign up for the dinner by 7 Feb 16. Please give your name and how many to the bartender.

Dinner will be served from 6 to 8 pm. The meal will be; New York Strip, Drunken Shrimp, Baked Potato, Cauliflower and Brocoli, Salad and a Roll.

$18.00 per single

$30.00 per couple

and then after the dinner do a little dancing.

Remember you must R.S.V.P. to the bartender to ensure we have enough food ordered. Hope to see you there!
